Goose Valley Llamas
As an art history student in my youth, I admired specific ancient artifacts that were housed in famous (and not so famous) museums all over the world. The majority of them were from Greece, Crete, Santorini, and Italy, but there was one I loved above all of the rest - a silver llama standing 9 3/8 inches tall with a striated and crimped silver sheet representing it's hanging fleece. It had been discovered on an island in Lake Titicaca between Bolivia and Peru in South America and dated mid 15th-early 16th century A.D. It is housed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. It did not look like any llama I had ever seen in any zoo or travel book. It's image is unforgettable and seemed to be one of a kind - no others like it have been discovered. To me it felt exotic and somewhat mystical. The first time I saw a real llama with the single coat of drapy, suri fiber I immediately thought of the silver llama effigy found on an island in Lake Titicaca... and fell in love.

We have been so lucky to have loved and raised llamas since 1982 and when we discovered real live suri llamas that resembled that exquisite silver effigy of long ago, we were hooked. As a student I never dreamt that someday I would have 90 llamas, plus a small herd of real live suri llamas that are the mirror image of that ancient silver llama. In honor of the "suri differences", this page is also a bit different from our other pages.

We have suri girls with Chilean, Peruvian, and Bolivian bloodlines. We refer to them as the Ya Ya Sisters because of their comical and "busy" personalities. Please call or email us with any questions.

Casta Spell
DOB 5-23-03
Newevo x Spellbound

When Spellbound delivered this outrageous silver girl everyone was captivated and decided to name the baby Casta Spell. Her long stretchy frame was covered with unbelievable silver suri fiber topped off with the most adorable faceand ears. She was a big girl (34.2 lbs) at the start and she has grown up strong and tall with her Mom's huge mik supply. Casta Spell gives new meaning to the term stretch.

Casta Spell is the llama on our farm that everyone asks about the most and we always say we think that she is the best of all of Newevos' kids. Newevo, our Peruvian Silver Suri boy is producing outrageous offspring for us with about 90% suri results. His kids come in all colors with large correct frames and that unmistakeable "Newevo" presence.
