Goose Valley Llamas
As an art history student in my youth, I admired specific ancient artifacts that were housed in famous (and not so famous) museums all over the world. The majority of them were from Greece, Crete, Santorini, and Italy, but there was one I loved above all of the rest - a silver llama standing 9 3/8 inches tall with a striated and crimped silver sheet representing it's hanging fleece. It had been discovered on an island in Lake Titicaca between Bolivia and Peru in South America and dated mid 15th-early 16th century A.D. It is housed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. It did not look like any llama I had ever seen in any zoo or travel book. It's image is unforgettable and seemed to be one of a kind - no others like it have been discovered. To me it felt exotic and somewhat mystical. The first time I saw a real llama with the single coat of drapy, suri fiber I immediately thought of the silver llama effigy found on an island in Lake Titicaca... and fell in love.

We have been so lucky to have loved and raised llamas since 1982 and when we discovered real live suri llamas that resembled that exquisite silver effigy of long ago, we were hooked. As a student I never dreamt that someday I would have 90 llamas, plus a small herd of real live suri llamas that are the mirror image of that ancient silver llama. In honor of the "suri differences", this page is also a bit different from our other pages.

We have suri girls with Chilean, Peruvian, and Bolivian bloodlines. We refer to them as the Ya Ya Sisters because of their comical and "busy" personalities. Please call or email us with any questions.

Silver Moon Cou De Lah
DOB 5-14-2005
FFF Chiri-O x Artemisia

Cou De Lah is our suri masterpiece who was LFA Suri Futurity Blue Ribbon winner in 2006. She is the most comical llama on the farm who entertains us by grabbing every empty container with her teeth and hurling them everywhere. When we hear banging in the barn we know that Cou De Lah is at it again! She is bred to 2007 Suri Celebrity Futurity Champion & High Selling Male "M.R.S. Painted Smile" for a March delivery.

Tillman's Sweet Stiletto
DOB 7-9-2004
HCLA Overexposed
x
Pedal Pusher

Goose Valley's "Sweet Stiletto" is one of the most impressive Suri llamas in the world. This pure Bolivian is now 48" at the withers and 82" at the top of her ears. She is one of a handful of llamas to receive a star premium with their second fleece. "Stiletto" was the 2006 Western World Futurity. This is a bloodline that will influence the llama world for generations to come.

She delivered a huge Suri red and white daughter by "Chamoso" that we call "Sweet Seelah" who is the most statuesque and stretchy of the seasons Suri kids.

She is now bred to Goose Valley's new Suri champion "LAMS Nutcracker" who stands 46" at the withers and measures 6'8" at the top of his ears. We can hardly wait to see the "Mystery Cria" from these awesome Suri parents.

Senorita Cristina
Senorita Cristina
DOB 3-20-97 * Bolivian Import

There are not enough adjectives to adequately describe her beauty because she is so gorgeous. Cristina's nickname around the farm is Catherine-Zeta Jones, and the consensus is that whatever she wants, she can have it.

She has had remarkable offspring, including a Marino daughter, Christal, who sold at the Fiesta Final sale for $70,000. She also had an outrageous Smokin' Gun daughter "Black Cashmere" who now lives in Nebraska with Randy
and Tara Cipriano.

Anyone this fancy should have a flashy name so we call him "El Litri" (The Dandy).

Traviesa
Traviesa
DOB 1-9-96 * Bolivian Import

Look at this adorable face! What can you say about this Bolivian girl? Super suri fiber, super face, super bone, and outrageous red and white coloring. When she came into the ring at Final Fiesta sale, we couldn't resist her. We feel very fortunate to have bought her. Six days after the sale, she delivered a sleek suri male named Full Throttle, an exceptional Chiri Chico son. Full Throttle is any suri breeder's dream boy, with great conformation and killer fiber! See more about him on our Stud page.

Traviesa is an easy breeder and a heavy milker, and all of her crias have been fantastic. To top it off, she is a lot of fun. She is the farm busybody: She is here, there everywhere, comically checking out everyone and everything.
